A little help

Here for the little things.

Questions about your journal? Let’s get you back to remembering what matters.

Email Afterdate support

Common questions

How do I unlock my journal?

Afterdate uses your phone’s authentication. Use the available Face ID, Touch ID, or device-passcode option. Your iPhone needs a passcode configured. There is no separate Afterdate account or password.

How do I save a backup?

Open Your vibe → Backup & restore. Record the recovery code, create the encrypted backup, and save the file using the iPhone sharing options. You need both the file and its recovery code to restore it. Keep the code separately from the file.

Backups include saved entries. Unfinished forms are excluded. There is no automatic sync, and support cannot recover a missing recovery code.

Can I move my journal to another phone?

Create a backup on the original phone, keep its recovery code, then restore the file in Afterdate on the new phone. Restoring replaces the journal already on that phone; it does not merge journals. Make a backup of anything you want to keep first.

How do I add photos?

Use the photo control while logging a date or editing a person. Afterdate asks for access when you choose to add a photo. It stores a resized copy; your original stays in Photos.

What do the two scores mean?

The date score summarizes your observations about the experience. The ideal score compares your answers with the preferences you choose in My perfect date. Unknown answers stay unknown. These are personal impressions, not verified facts or predictions about a relationship.

How do I delete my information?

Delete individual dates or people in the app, or use delete-all in Your vibe to remove the local journal. Previously exported backups and original photos must be removed separately. See the privacy information for details about local recovery snapshots.
